Buyer guide
Nano glass vs quartz vs marble
Nano glass, engineered quartz and marble can look alike on a showroom wall. They are different materials. This guide compares them on the points buyers ask about most.

Side by side
| Property | Nano glass (our slabs) | Engineered quartz | Natural marble |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Crystallized glass made in a factory | Quartz grains bound with polymer resin[1] | A natural stone, mainly calcite, cut from a quarry[4] |
| Water absorption | 0.001 % (test report) | Low; varies by product[2] | Check the maker's data[4] |
| Acids | No visible change in testing (datasheet) | Check the maker's data[2] | Acids such as lemon juice and vinegar can etch the surface[5] |
| Colour consistency | Consistent from batch to batch | Check the maker's data[3] | Changes from block to block[4] |
| Curved pieces | Pure white can be curved | Check the maker's data[1] | Check the supplier[4] |
Our water absorption result comes from report WT2023B01G01016, China Testing & Certification International Group, 2023, 300 × 300 × 10 mm sample. Acid resistance is a typical datasheet result.
Technical dataChoosing
When to choose nano glass
- You want a pure, even white.
- You need large slabs, up to 3200 mm wide.
- You need curved white panels or column cladding.
- You want a surface that absorbs almost no water.
FAQ
Comparison questions
Is nano glass better than quartz?
It depends on the use. Compare water absorption, acid resistance, look and price for your project.
Is nano glass the same as sintered stone?
No. Sintered stone is made from mineral powders pressed and fired at high temperature. Nano glass is crystallized glass.
Can I compare samples?
Yes. Request samples of our slabs and compare them with your current material.
